2010.10.09 - semi-seriously on semi-conductors

no more than 2 weeks ago i took 3-days training to organize before the end of this month. along with my part-time and other, small tasks/projects its filling my free time pretty well (i.e. totally). yesterday while falling asleep it just came to my mind:

out of all things based on semiconductors the only one i really hate are alarm clocks.

when it's all over, i DO plan to sleep some more… ;)

2010.10.23 - security guy

Few days ago i've read series of articles regarding hacking KFC coke-machine, street lights (more on this topic), trains' emergency stop system, cars (over the internet), barcodes scanner and even a case of 14-year who derailed tramways in the city of Łódź. after this i came to conclusion that nowadays there should be dedicated studies and jobs for “security guys” that would consult any modern project on security level. how come care only if it works for them in times where IT and electronics are all around us? have you ever imagined yourself ending up in the hospital instead of work/lectures/holidays, because tramway you were riding on was hacked by a kid with infra-red device and crashed?
